Title: Camera Travels
A video that discusses the ability of images to exercise social criticism, given the power that the producers of such visual (or other) discourse posses. Such a criticism can only be effective if issues of subjectivity, authorship and the mechanics of such productions are taken into consideration. Its theme evolves around the projections of self images by two disparate groups that live in Cyprus, the artists and the third world immigrants who both share a nomadic way of life, though their mode of travelling differs in nature and cause.
About IMCA
IMCA is both a virtual and itinerant Independent Museum of Contemporary Art founded by NeMe in order to present exhibitions, performances, new media events, symposia etc. The form of the IMCA is determined as a practice or process by the nature of each project with the notion of the exhibition "space" being constantly revised and redefined.
