I miss living by the sea and the golden sand that makes it all shades of blue and turquoise
I miss walking bare foot on that fine, soft golden sand. Swimming in the warm water as flat as a mirror, reflecting the sun or moon,
As a child, playing winter and summer by the sea, hiding between the fishing nets and the old wooden rowing boats.
As a teenager, swimming, sailing and skiing in the sunshine or moonlight – picnics, parties – meeting old friends, making new friends on the beach.
I miss sleeping and walking with the soft sound of the waves on the shore.
The luxury of living by the sea was taken for granted then, but at least it was enjoyed to its full while it lasted.
