The theme of the work reflects my own search in finding reality. I encountered displacement in my search of our true nature, which so far is unknown to us and shaped by subjective perception.
The core idea of this image is to work in a religious context. Using religious logic is to believe that humanity has been displaced because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God’s word.
I followed this thought and came to the conclusion that we are all displaced on earth in a spiritual sense.
Bill Hicks once stated: “Our true nature is spirit, not body”
My work shows the transition of the spirit forming a material body that acts like a cage to the freedom of our true spiritual nature.
